Inside my
Hi, I’m Sasha Kalupahana — the artist behind Sasha’s DigiArts.
I create custom digital portraits and personalized illustrated gifts for people who want to hold onto a memory, a relationship, or a moment that matters. Originally from Sri Lanka and now based in Ocala, Florida, my path here has been anything but a straight line, and that’s exactly why I do this work with so much heart.
I’ve been drawing since childhood, but for years I kept it as a hobby while building a career in software engineering. Eventually I started sharing my art publicly, and my first commission, a portrait of my friend Jenna’s dogs, Briggs and Wilson, showed me this could be more than a side passion.
My Approach
I’m not just recreating a photo, I’m paying attention to expressions, subtle details, and the energy of the people (or pets!) in front of me. Every portrait is meant to feel warm, alive, and personal, never generic. Many of my clients come to me wanting to celebrate a loved one, honor a pet, create a meaningful gift, or simply capture a moment in time, and translating that emotion into something they can keep and cherish is what I love most about this work.
Why I Do This
Choosing to step away from a secure engineering career to build a creative brand took real courage, and I’m proud I listened to that inner voice instead of waiting for the “perfect” moment. Sasha’s DigiArts is built on authenticity: every piece is made by me, with intention and care, because I know what it means when someone trusts me with something personal from their life.
My brand is about love, creativity, courage, and connection, and I'm just getting started.
